<p>Beberapa hari yang lalu, disalah satu perusahaan yang menggunakan Zimbra didapati pesan error pada sistem email server Zimbra yang dikelolanya. Error tersebut muncul ketika mengakses halaman Zimbra Admin dengan keterangan &#8220;Some service are not running&#8221;, beberapa server terlihat status service Zimbra nya not running, padahal jika dicek melalui Command Line zmcontrol status, service berjalan normal tanpa ada kendala.</p>
<p>Memang sih error tersebut tidak mengganggu jalannya email, hanya saja error tersebut mengganggu pemandangan mata ketika mengakses Zimbra Admin, seperti tampilan berikut</p>

<p>Berikut ini langkah-langkah untuk eskalasi masalah tersebut</p>
<h4>Cek Rsyslog</h4>
<p>1. SSH atau login console ke server yang memiliki service Zimbra logger, bisa dicek pakai command <strong><em>su &#8211; zimbra -c &#8220;zmprov -l gas logger&#8221;</em></strong>, edit file /etc/rsyslog.conf, hapus tanda pagar pada 2 baris berikut</p>
<pre>$ModLoad imudp 
$UDPServerRun 514 
</pre>
<p>2. Jika sudah, silakan restart service rsyslog dan update auth keys Zimbra</p>
<pre>service rsyslog restart 
su - zimbra -c "zmsshkeygen" 
su - zimbra -c "zmupdateauthkeys"</pre>
<p>3. Pada server selain logger diatas, silakan jalankan command berikut menggunakan user root, jalankan secara bergantian antar server</p>
<pre>/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsyslogsetup 
su - zimbra -c "zmsshkeygen" 
su - zimbra -c "zmupdateauthkeys"</pre>
<p>Jika sudah semuanya, silakan tunggu 2-5 menit, lalu refresh kembali Zimbra Admin nya, semestinya jika tidak ada kendala, tampilan status service sudah running pada Zimbra Admin. Namun jika masih belum solved, bisa lanjut ke tahap dibawah ini</p>

<h4>Cek zmstatuslog</h4>
<p>1. SSH atau login console ke server yang statusnya not running pada Zimbra Admin, lalu cek service zmstatuslog nya</p>
<pre>ps aux | grep zmstatuslog</pre>
<p>Cek pid yang tertera pada hasil ps aux diatas, seperti contoh berikut</p>

<p>Pid yang muncul yaitu 77255 dan 77257, silakan stop service dengan nomor pid tersebut</p>
<pre>kill -9 77255 77257</pre>
<p>Namun jika tidak ditemukan proses yang berjalan terkait zmstatuslog, tidak masalah, bisa lanjut ke next step</p>
<p>2. Selanjutnya coba jalankan secara manual zmstatuslog nya</p>
<pre>su - zimbra -c "/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmstatuslog"</pre>
<p>Jika muncul pesan &#8220;Can&#8217;t run pid exist&#8230;&#8221;, bisa dihapus file pid &#8220;<span class="s1">/opt/zimbra/log/zmstatuslog.pid&#8221; atau backup ke tempat lain</span></p>
<pre>mv /opt/zimbra/log/zmstatuslog.pid /opt/zimbra/log/zmstatuslog.pid.back</pre>
<p>Kemudian jalankan kembali zmstatuslog nya</p>
<pre>su - zimbra -c "/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmstatuslog"</pre>
<p>3. Cek file log /var/log/zimbra-stats.log, pastikan sudah muncul informasi status running seperti berikut</p>
<pre>[root@mbox1 ~]# <span style="color: #ff0000;">cat /var/log/zimbra-stats.log | grep -a STATUS</span>

<p>4. Cek juga crontab Zimbra nya, pastikan cronjob untuk zmstatuslog nya sudah di set berjalan setiap 2 menit sekali</p>
<pre>[root@mbox1 ~]# su - zimbra -c "crontab -l | grep zmstatuslog" 
*/2 * * * * /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmstatuslog >; /dev/null 2>;&;1</pre>
<p>5. Pastikan juga service cron nya sudah berjalan, atau bisa juga di restart service cron nya sekalian</p>
<p>Ubuntu</p>
<pre>service cron restart</pre>
<p>CentOS</p>
<pre>service crond restart</pre>
<p>6. Lalu silakan cek kembali pada Zimbra Admin, secara bertahap seluruh service pada cluster Zimbra semestinya akan running dan berwarna hijau, per server biasanya membutuhkan waktu 2-5 menit agar statusnya menjadi running pada Zimbra Admin.</p>
